Plan Your Visit

Welcome!

We want to see you grow in truth and be strengthened in your faith in Christ. We hope you find Living Word a welcoming and gospel-filled community of believers. Read below to get a glimpse of what you can expect when you walk in the doors.

What to Expect

Christ-centered services. Welcoming culture.

What can I expect when I visit?

As a guest, here are a few things you can expect to encounter at Living Word:

  • A biblical, relevant message
  • A time of worship that blends both traditional and contemporary music
  • A multi-generational church
  • A fun, safe, Christ-centered environment for your kids
  • A group of friendly volunteers ready to answer your questions
Do you have children's programming?

We have a family-oriented service, meaning that children above age three join us for worship. We have a staffed nursery with background-checked volunteers who love to take care of your very little ones (three and under) during the sermon and closing of the service.

Our Sunday children’s and youth programming takes place during the Sunday School hour from 10:30-11:30 am. We also have children’s and youth activities on Wednesday nights. You can learn more about all of our Christian Education programming here.

What can I expect when I arrive?

Parking

We have parking available in front of the church with handicapped parking located near the entrance of our building.

Greeters

We know visiting a new church can be intimidating, that’s why we have a welcome team who would love to meet you and show you around!

Kid-Friendly Environment

We provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for kids and families. If you bring your kids, they’ll join you for the worship service. Before the sermon, you’ll have an opportunity to take your little ones three and under to the nursery. All of our nursery volunteers must pass background checks and have a heart for kids and families. Ask a greeter if you have questions. We’d love to help!

Fellowship

You’re invited to join us for a time of fellowship after the worship service. We gather in our fellowship hall for coffee and treats before heading to Sunday School, which is available for both children and adults.

What is your service like?

Our service begins at 9:00 a.m and lasts about 65 minutes. There’s no reserved seating or dress code, so come as you are and sit where you like.

Service Order

  • Worship music
  • Confession of faith and confession of sin
  • Announcements and offering
  • Scripture reading (if you don’t have a Bible, we have one for you!)
  • Relevant message from the Bible

Bible Teaching

Our preaching is centered on Christ and is always taken from God’s Word. We believe in teaching in both spiritual and practical ways that allow the Holy Spirit to speak through the Bible. We don’t just give information and tell stories; we teach for biblical transformation that will equip you to live a life serving the Lord and others.

Worship

Our service includes music that is a blend of both contemporary songs and traditional hymns. One Sunday you may be greeted by the sounds of an organ or a violin, and another Sunday you’ll sing to music led by guitar and drums.

Communion

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. You do not have to be a member of Living Word to receive communion.

We hope to meet you this Sunday!
