2nd Annual WoW Progressive Supper

No fooling! On April 1st the Women of the Word hosted their 2nd annual progressive supper. This event highlights all the visions and values of our women’s ministry at Living Word: With dependence on God’s Word, we facilitate fellowship, prayer, and service that bring women together.

After serving the women of the Banquet (a local ministry that provides a safe place where people can gather, receive nourishment, and experience love in action) with a plethora of feminine products. We received the plan for the evening and women were divided up to ride in different cars. We set off for the first course – appetizers.

During the appetizer course, the ladies enjoyed a time of fellowship and Mexican food at the Hoekman home, along with a game and a group picture. What would be the fun of a group picture without the front step breaking? ☺ But, we were still able to get a great group picture!

After appetizers, the caravan of cars headed to the Smithback farm, where a beautiful view and an Italian supper of salad, breadsticks, and lasagna greeted us.

Finally, it was time to go to the Larson residence for some delicious desserts and a focus on God’s wisdom as opposed to the world’s foolishness (thank you to Jenn Thorson for sharing) and a time of prayer.

Altogether twenty-six women participated in this evening, a tote plus four bags of feminine products were donated to The Banquet, and many laughs and love were shared. We are already looking forward to the third annual progressive supper!

Donated health care items from the 2nd annual WoW progressive dinner at Living Word Free Lutheran Church.

James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
