Fourth Annual WoW Progressive Supper

On March 29th the Women of the Word hosted their 4th annual progressive supper. This event highlights all the visions and values of our women’s ministry at Living Word:

With dependence on God’s Word, we facilitate fellowship, prayer and service that bring women together.

After serving the women of the Banquet (a local ministry that provides a safe place where people can gather, receive nourishment, and experience love in action) with a plethora of personal care products.

During the appetizer course the ladies enjoyed a time of fellowship at the Kurth home, along with a WoW friend, Laurita McKercher, sharing with us about how we can live out a pure life in an impure world. She took us deeper into Titus 2:11-14: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

After appetizers, the caravan of cars headed to the Tanner home, where we were able to enjoy a Scandinavian supper and some more lessons by Laurita.

Finally, it was time to go to the Larson residence for some delicious desserts and a closing of the hope we can only find through Jesus. Our evening ended in prayer.

Altogether twenty-five women participated in this evening, a bunch of bags of personal care products were donated to The Banquet, and many laughs and love were shared. We are already looking forward to the fifth annual progressive supper!
