Holy Week at Living Word

It's here! One of the highest points of the Church year is just over a week away and we would love to have you come and celebrate it with us.

As we lead up to the wonderful celebration of Resurrection Sunday, it's good to remember the rest of the journey to the empty tomb. From the anguish and agony of the garden to the excruciating pain of the cross, our Savior's path to the resurrection, His process of conquering sin and death for us is good to remember in all of its aspects.

We will be worshiping together on Thursday, Friday and Sunday morning, and this year have the extra pleasure of hosting Pastor Lyndon Korhonen, the current president of the AFLC, our association of churches.

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday Service Times

Join us Thursday, April 2nd, at 6:45 pm as Pastor Korhonen teaches on "The Sword or Scripture?" and leads us in the celebration of the Lord's Supper.

Join us Friday, April 3rd, at 6:45 pm for a Tenebrae service (service of shadows). This service will also include special music and strings, organ and piano accompanying the congregation.

And finally, join us Sunday, April 5th, at 9:00 am, for our Resurrection Sunday service, as Pastor Korhonen takes "A Look at the Empty Tomb."

Each service at Living Word is approached with spiritual formation in mind, that is, instead of focusing on style or genre, we focus on how each element of the service continues to form our faith. We also enjoy a convergent style of worship, where ancient and new elements are both celebrated and utilized.

Easter Breakfast

Come and have food and fellowship with us and help support our youth in their trip to this year's FLY (Free Lutheran Youth) Convention. Breakfast is at 7:30 am on April 5th, Easter Sunday, and a freewill offering will be taken.
