Andy and Monica Coyle are AFLC Missionaries on loan. They have been renewing and equipping the body of Christ in Odessa, Ukraine, for just seven months. According to the Coyle's newsletter, "So many Ukrainians have no hope because they have not heard about or experienced Jesus. We are convinced more than ever of the need for faithful Bible teaching and training here."
Our January 29, we focused on the Eastern European Missions Network (EEMN) and the Coyle family during our Sunday School opening. We talked about how God wants all people--even children--to give according to the blessings given to them (Deuteronomy 16:17).
For a gift of $45, a child in the Ukraine can attend a Friendship English Language Camp in the summer. Many of the children at Living Word have been blessed to experience something similar through Vacation Bible School (VBS) or Bible Camp. We became joyful givers as we collected a special "Cents to Send" offering. The children had fun taking a turn at dropping coins over the back of a chair and into a jar. Our collection of $27.11 will be added to the support our Wednesday night children's ministry, Faith and Friends, already provides to the EEMN.
The Coyle's have three children. Moriah (5) and Isaiah (3) are already learning Russian, and like playing imaginary games together. Josiah (1) loves to play with his siblings and often tries to "wrestle" with them.
Please help your children pray for the Coyle children. Their needs include protection, health, hearts tender to the Lord and full of love for Him, strong relationships with extended family, new friendships in the Ukraine, and school.
