This morning's sermon text is found in 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 which encourages us to not only be thankful for what we have been given now, but for the hope and promise of heaven to come. Previously, in chapter 4:18 Paul speaks of “keeping our eyes on things that are not seen.” Part of our vision in looking at things not seen includes our eternal home in heaven. Paul and his assistants in the ministry knew this to be true and rejoiced in what awaited them. Paul uses a simple analogy of a tent and permanent dwelling to help us clearly see the blessings that await us in glory as children of God.

Thankful for that wonderful hope and promise,
Pastor Kirk
