Last week's sermon passage looked at Jesus' victory over the devil in the wilderness, when He stood firm against a multitude of temptations. This week, we continue in the fourth chapter of Luke but read of a much different circumstance. Luke 4:16-30 records Jesus' words in His hometown synagogue and the violent response of the crowd. How can good news of Jesus bring about such an angry response from the crowd? Together, we will examine this and other questions in Luke's important text.

Serving Christ alongside you,
Pastor Kirk Thorson
