Our sermon text today is Matthew 5:21-26 where Jesus addresses how we ought to deal with conflict and anger. Jesus urges his hearers to be reconciled to one another.

Because we are sinful people, we have many opportunities to seek reconciliation with others in a variety of settings.

"How people respond to conflict reflects their spiritual maturity. The difference between a healthy, mature faith and an unhealthy faith is not whether it experiences conflict, but rather how we respond to conflict" (Ted Kober, Built on the Rock).

By God's grace, may we see how we have been reconciled through Christ and seek to be reconciled with one another.

Serving Christ alongside you,
Pastor Kirk Thorson
