This week we continue looking at the blessings of God. We are privileged to have a baptism in the service today and it seems fitting to look this morning at the blessing of baptism. Our Scripture text is from the third chapter of Ephesians, in which Paul writes, "That [God] may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith" (Ephesians 3:16,17). A modern paraphrase version of the Bible translates this, "that Christ may settle down and be at home in your hearts by faith."

Salvation comes to us by the work of the Holy Spirit: He gives us faith, strength and spiritual knowledge. This passage of Scripture ends with a benediction (verses 20-21) reminding us of the power of God at work in us and through us to His glory. We have indeed been blessed by God!
